Today’s make up – 50’s Audrey Hepburn

3 Jan

Yesterday I saw an inspiring documentary about one of the greatest fashion icons of the 20th century; Audrey Hepburn. She was such a talented and beautiful woman, but what many people don’t know is that she was a humanitarian icon as well, who devoted the later part of her life to be an ambassador of UNICEF in order to help people in need, especially children all over the world.

Being such an icon in so many ways, I thought of honouring her a little extra in my own way, by making an classical Audrey Hepburn make up look. Not that fancy, and sorry my eyes are rather puffy after too little sleep and early morning work, so I hope I’ll be excused for that one. 😉

Remember the key to this make up is to use an eye shadow that is medium brown, also to have a thick layer of eyeliner on the upper eye lid, heavy mascara on the upper lashes and actually none on the lower lashes (at least in my opinion). Also thick, defined eyebrows were her trademark, so make sure you fill your brows with a darker colour.
