What to do a sunny day in Tallinn? I would strongly recommend you pay a visit to the Kadriorg: a district in Tallinn that is not only a highly attractive residential area, but also contains the presidential palace and foreign embassies. But what is most attractive in Kadriorg is the Kadriorg Palace and its surrounding parks. Built in 1718 as a summer residence for the Tsar family of Peter I, Kadriorg is still standing, but nowadays contains the national museum of art.
Going a bit further down in Kadriorg, you will also find the symmetrical Swan Pond, and also houses in that area that are quite special… 😉
There are many, many things to see in Kadriorg. Unfortunately we only had time for a few that day, Andreas being allergic and the weather really hot, but I highly recommend you go there if you happen to pay a visit in Tallinn – it’s magnificent!
